System Requirements
-------------------
You will need 640 RAM, with at least 570 free RAM to play GateWorld. In other
words, don't have too many RAM resident (TSR) programs running while you play
GateWorld. You will also need a VGA system.
Joystick and keyboard are both supported, but not the mouse.
GateWorld Notes
---------------
Certain VGA cards do not support one of the techniques that GateWorld uses
called Color Cycling. Because not everyone will read this text file, Color
Cycling defaults to off. You can turn it on by toggling "Color Cycling"
support from the CONFIGURE menu. If a black horizontal line or "snow" appears
when playing the game then turn Color Cycling back off. If you set the option
once it will be stored permanently in the configuration file.
To get GateWorld to run acceptably on slow computers you can adjust the size of
the Viewport. This is done by selecting "Size view" from the MAIN GAME menu.
When you change the view port size it will be stored permanently in the
configuration file.
Pressing F1 from anywhere in the game will provide you with detailed help.
Order Information
-------------------
An order form is included in the text file ORDER.FRM. There is also order
information in the game accessible from the MAIN MENU. When placing orders
please specify if you require 5¼" or 3½" disk size. (All foreign orders must
be made in U.S.A. funds, and add $2 extra shipping.)
